Our Montrose teams
We acknowledge the commitment and hard work of all our teams
CHURCH COUNCIL
Chairperson Peter Jones
With oversight of our congregational life, the nine elected members actively support our Minister as we share the responsibility of the well-being of our Church and the congregation.
PASTORAL CARE
Leader Peter Ault
Through visitation in homes or hospitals, meeting at cafes, making phone calls or connecting any way possible, the Pastoral Care team endeavours to share God’s love in practical and gentle ministry. Taking the time to listen without judgement whilst maintaining privacy are important aspects of the role.
FINANCE
Leader Carol Campbell
Management of the Church’s financial matters is the prime focus here, with careful consideration given to ensure all required records are kept and a generosity of spirit is maintained.
SOCIAL JUSTICE
Leader Bronwyn Sanders
This team aims to help people to serve others by actively seeking and promoting issues relating to justice and peace. Special services are held to raise awareness, fund raising to provide active support and to offer links for our congregation to share the journeys of others in need.
WORSHIP
Leader Heather Hollingsworth
Having oversight for the worship and sacramental life of the congregation, mindful consideration is given for Sunday morning services, Communion services, Baptisms and special celebrations such as Christmas, Easter and more. The Worship team liaises with the musicians to explore new material and old favourites alike.
RESOURCES
Leader Ron van Aken
Undertaking the maintenance and development of all the church property, our Resources Team are very committed and active in ensuring good management of our assets.
WELLBEING
Leader Liz Jones
Ensuring our Church has a culture of safety for all, promoting healthy and safe interactions, ensuring accessibility is readily available and meeting the Government standards with Working With Children checks being in place, is a vital role undertaken.
PRESBYTERY REPRESENTATIVE
Leader Rosemary Shaw
Regularly attending Presbytery meetings, providing an active presence to represent Montrose, along with being kept abreast of the wider Church’s journey towards a healthy future is a valuable and much appreciated role undertaken.
